You all have probably figured out by now how much I love doing these challenges.  For some reason however the last few I have been late on getting on.  Hopefully next time I will start on time!! LOL  So here is the original sketch and then my card.  Let me know what you think.  I seem to love grabbing Simply Said for these challenges as well.  I challenged myself by using colors that I don't usually use.  I tend to stay within the Soft Subtles group and so I branched out a bit even though I used Pretty in Pink Buttons as I didn't have any others. 

Now here is my card!

Stamp Set: Simply Said

Cardstock: Rose Red, Elegant Eggplant, So Saffron and Whisper White

Accessories: Coluzzle, Regal Rose Grosgrain Ribbon, Corner Punch, 1 3/8" Circle punch, 1 1/4" Circle Punch, Pretty in Pink Buttons, dimensionals, slot punch

I did fix the buttons so that the holes are going the same direction.

Pencil Over Technique

This card is the first I made for our group meeting swap.  I was a bit nervous about how people would accept it.  It was well received I am happy to say.  I got the layout from a card I saw on SplitCoast and changed out the colors and I did a technique on it called Pencil Over.  Pencil over is a really easy technique. You need a dark background cardstock such as black like I used on this card.  You will stamp your image with Whisper White Craft Ink.  Let it dry completely.  Can use Heat Tool to help it along in the drying process.  Once the card is dry you will then use your Watercolor Pencils to color in the image, make sure you color with your pencil over the Whisper White Craft Ink.  That is it, see how easy that is!!

Accessories: Elegant Eggplant, Purely Pomegranate, Whisper White, Basic Black, Black Brads, Watercolor Pencils, Metallic Pencils and Pure Color Pencils, Purely Pomegranate Double Stitched Ribbon, Ticket Corner Punch.

Few cards I have made

I wanted to post a few cards I have made at group meetings and classes.  The first one is a little purse that we made at our last group meeting.  Isn't it just adorable.  I have seen something like this on Splitcoast and was so glad when we made it.  Unfortunately it uses paper and a stamp set that are no longer available.

Assessories: Afternoon Tea DSP, Groovy Gauva Cardstock, 1/4" Chocolate Chip Poly Twill ribbon, scallop circle punch, clear cello, chocolate chip cardstock, dimensionals, sticky strip.

      

The next one is one that I made in a Technique Class that uses the Reflection technique.  I just love the colors and look of this card.  I am going to miss this set.
